| About Peter Van Rhijn I believe that people find beauty in nature and that Fyodor Dostoevski was right when he said, "Beauty will save the world." In my images, I try to highlight the natural beauty that is all around us. I hope to inspire people to recognize this beauty and to preserve it for future generations. I was born and raised in The Hague in The Netherlands and studied at Leydon University. I emigrated to Canada in 1970 and now live in Toronto, Ontario. I have been a stock photographer for many years and my images of nature have been marketed and sold around the world. I am an internationally recognized presenter of large-screen audio-visual shows featuring the Earth and Mother Nature. My images have been published in many books celebrating the beauty in nature, including The Last Wilderness (edited by Freeman Patterson) and Canada, These Things We Hold Dear, A Centennial Celebration (edited by Lorraine Monk.) |
