In using the search feature, you are provided with a small text entry window in which you may type a sequence of characters as the criteria of your search. In general, the sequence will be a list of comma separated words each of which becomes a search criteria. When the search matches an image with one or more of these criteria, that image is placed into a match list. When the search has completed its scan of the entire database, a page of criteria matching thumbnail images will be displayed. |

Below each image will be a catalogue number, and below that an image caption. To the right of each image are the Additional Information icon and the Magnify Image icon. To view an enlarged image of any of those displayed, you can click on the thumbnail itself or the Magnify Icon. To view additional information about the image click on the Information Icon. An Information window is displayed. To close the Information window click anywhere within that window. |

If you would like to bind two (2) or more words together as a search criteria, British Columbia for example, enter a list like the following "British Columbia" as opposed to "British,Columbia". In the first case, only images that have the word sequence British Columbia will be matched. Presently, searches are not restrictive but inclusive. That is, when an entry like "tree, British Columbia, forest" is provided, images with any one of these keyword associations will be matched and returned by the search. |
